C has shown great motivation and determination in the recent challenging times with COVID 19. Prior to lockdown she was motivated and determined to work hard to secure employment but unfortunately this was put on hold by the restrictions of lockdown.
With the ongoing support of the ADTRAC Outreach Engagement Officer over the phone C was able to discuss suitable opportunities and options available to her. Together C and the Outreach Engagement Officer identified training needs that would support her in getting her dream job and look great on her CV! Plans were put in place for the suitable training course to proceed through to the procurement stage. During this time a free Sage Essentials Accounts training was identified and was found to be free of charge! (Usual price was £149!) With the help of the Outreach Engagement Officer C was registered for the course and passed with flying colours the very next day. C enjoyed the course so much that she has been signposted to Open Learn for her to access their free courses. She has gone from strength to strength and continued to complete numerous courses that will be great addition to her CV and be beneficial when applying for employment opportunities.
C has demonstrated an open minded, motivated approach to lockdown which has meant she has been able to develop her skills in what is a difficult, restricted situation.
The next steps for C are to complete the training identified initially once face to face courses are able to run and for the Outreach Engagement Officer to continue to support her in securing new employment opportunities.
